Thich Nhat Hanh says deep listening is the foundation of Right Speech. Ayya Ahimsa maps out the necessity to listening internally in our meditation, externally in our relationships and the advance skill of being able to listen internally and externally simultaneously.
Dec 19: Buddhamas
Every year, at Christmas time, we have a sing song....singing Buddhist words to Christmas tunes. The Buddhist words were crafted by Linda Furrow when she was the office manager at Birken Forest Monastery. And we have the good fortune to have Scott Diehl with his guitar and wonderful voice lead us in the singing.
